Design Niels Diffrient
Recognized by the New York Times as "the benchmark for office chairs", Freedom redefines the concept of the traditional office chair. Designer Niels Diffrient set out to design an office chair that automatically adapts to the user and allows them to move freely from one posture to another.
Diffrient's unique approach took the complicated adjustments of other chairs, such as unwieldy recline levers and back tension adjustments, to create a truly ergonomic office chair.
He therefore developed a tilt mechanism that adapts perfectly to the user and which brilliantly reinvents the modern office chair by making it simpler, more functional and more aesthetic.
